Today I bit the bullet and signed up for a print on demand service that lets you buy t shirts and water bottles with Billy loves Mona designs printed on them. It’s the first step in our transition from paper-only to paper and textiles we print ourselves (outsourcing until we get our studio really dialed in). Here’s a bonus, the shirts are all organic!

Spring is here!

Well, not really. I think we have a few more weeks of winter before the real spring arrives. But, today is a beautiful day. My mom is watching the baby while I work, N. is at the store, I’m updating a bazillion things before settling into the fascinating world of freelance website rating (don’t ask). Our three cats are outside, rolling around on the sidewalk, absorbing the sun while it makes this rare, early appearance.

New Seasons Market recently placed an order that we’re super excited about producing. Bikes and cupcakes, oh yes! Printing the cupcake is a piece of cake (ha ha), but the bike, our signature design, is a different story. It’s so big, printing it is a major challenge. We have all sorts of trouble getting the ink distributed evenly, without pressing so hard the corners of the cardstock buckle. Fortunately, we found this to help us make the cut. It’s awesome!

Happy Saturday! Bill and Mona are asleep on the couch – peacefully ignoring one another. N is at work, and I am working from home, setting up our studio, getting ready for a printing run.
